The girls had an eye opening experience as they joined University High School in Morgantown on Saturday. This was a make up for a scrimage scheduled earlier and cancled because of the weather. The team had the opportunity to practice and scrimage with the University team. Coming back with some valuable leasons and experiences. Equipment Grant
Thanks to USLacrosse and STX for the equipment grant to help us get our team off the ground
WPHS Womens Lacrosse USLacrosse Grant
The WPHS Women's Lacrosse club is honored to be a recipient of a 2007 US Lacrosse Girl's Equipment Grant. The organization will be receiving sticks, goggles and goalie equipment to outfit an entire team. This will allow us to provide equipment for girls who may otherwise be unable to play, and for player who are curious and want to try it without committing to buying equipment. We are excited to be a part of the US Lacrosse family and look forward to our first season in the Spring of 2008.UPDATE: Contacted STX on 2/25. We were advised that our deliver was being put toghether, but that they had until the end of March to deliver.
UPDATE: Equipment Recieved. The first half of our grant has arrived. We recieved the player and goalie sticks from STX last week. The sticks are being put to good use as some of our players are out there breaking them in. The rest of the equipment should be in shortly.
UPDATE: Contacted STX. Mistake in equipment award. Balance of equipment to be processed and shipped imediately
UPDATE: Balance of Equipment Recieved. The goggles and goalie equipment arrived and is going to see its first action on Saturday
